Our Karate school was started in 1998 by Paul and Mike Welch. In 2004, the careers of the Welch’s lead them to other cities, and the school was purchased by Scott and Ann Blanke (parents of Third Degree Black Belts Andy and Jackson). Scott is also the owner of Bank-A-Count Corporation, a computer printing company in Rudolph, and he works evenings at the school with our lead instructor, Mr. Tyler Henkel, to keep our school running smoothly.
KAWR (Karate America Wisconsin Rapids) outgrew its original Shopko Mall location, and in 2006 moved to our current home in the Rapids Mall, bringing students more room for learning and Martial Arts excellence.
