We are Karate America Wisconsin Rapids LLC.  We practice American-Freestyle Karate, an incorporation of traditional Tae Kwon Do/Karate techniques and philosophies combined with modern day self-defenses while emphasizing life skills!  We are a martial arts training facility for all ages, come join our positive family.

 

Karate America Wisconsin Rapids (K.A.W.R.) is located in the Rapids Mall in and has been owned and running under Scott Blanke since 2004 after was started in 1998 under Mr. Paul Welch and Mr. Mike Welch.  Since 2002 Mr. Tyler Henkel has been a master instructor leading our student to excellence!

 

Our motto is Might for Right.  We teach it and live by it.  We instill it in our students.  Focus is our tool for learning and respect is ever present.  We promote a lifestyle and not just a hobby or sport.  We are Karate America Wisconsin Rapids.

 

Scott Blanke is also the owner of Bank-A-Count Corporation, a printing company in Rudolph, WI.  Scott and Ann are proud parents of KAWR 3^rd Degree Black Belts Andy and Jackson.  Scott received his Black Belt under Mr. Tyler Henkel in 2009.   

 

Tyler Henkel is a 4^th Degree Black Belt and has been instructing since 1995.  He started his Martial Arts under Mr. Jeff Denu and Mr. Bill Koster along with much instruction from Seth Degnan at Karate America Sun Prairie.  Mr. Henkel came to KAWR in 2003 upon attending the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where graduated from in 2007.  Mr. Henkel has competed nationally, regionally, and locally throughout his Martial Arts life and has learned much from that and extra instruction from other styles of Martial Arts.  He is always committed to his students giving them 100% focus, attention, and energy.  His passion for the Martial Arts is unlike any other!
